New Dog Photography: Reggie and Family; Ambler, PA

Hey, hi and hello, Internet world! Welcome to another episode of… Pet Imagery Session Favorites! Today I have a special tribute of a very special pooch. Reggie came into my life after hearing from his mom that Reg had not much time left on this Earth. His resilient body was finally succumbing to the trauma of cancer and was also effecting his mental state. In fact, we weren’t even sure that Reggie would be able to handle a photo session with his condition so up and down. After making the decision to move forward, we made sure the whole family was involved to celebrate and shower Reggie with so much love and TLC. Their children had a blast during our short time but something magical happened: Reggie, with so much energy and spirit, really seemed to bask in the moment. He certainly kept me on my toes as he sniffed and explored (and noshed!) his familiar grounds. I would like to believe he knew why I was there and truly relished the opportunity to show off his old self.

The following day after our shoot would be Reggie’s final day. He is no longer suffering or feeling any pain and that is comforting for everyone that knew him. Boy did Reggie have a lot of love and support throughout his long life! I know that in spirit, he will forever be by his family’s side. He was an absolute joy to photograph. The warmth in his eyes and friendly presence is something I will keep with me always. Reggie was also quite the master of the “staring off into the distance” pose. What a natural! Here are a few highlights from our time together:

Thank you for taking the time to view the photos of Reg and his beautiful family! My next showcase will be featuring a sweet senior gal named Honey! She’s an all white Chihuahua/Jack Russell Mix. Have a great weekend!
