New Pet Photography: Rosie, Coco and Charles; Mixed Breed Dogs, Philadelphia, PA

Hello folks! Happy almost Spring. I guess it’s fitting that winter still has it’s grasp on the region. Nothing has been typical of the weather patterns in the last few years!

Of course, I’m not really here to discuss the weather! You want to see the new images! Well, it’s my pleasure to introduce Rosie, Coco and Charles (the little guy). Their parents came to me early in the year because their sweet Rosie had been battling cancer for some time. Her fight ended last month, as she passed away on February 10th. Rosie lived a remarkable life that really tested her will in this world. After surviving life on the streets with no home or shelter, Rosie was rescued right in the middle of an intersection one day. Her hero would soon become her owner and they formed a deep connection right from the start. Rosie’s life was soon filled with love, kindness and a home. I’m so honored to have met her, as her heart really touched mine. I  hope that Rosie’s parents find comfort in the images and that they help to heal, to remember.

I checked the almanac just to confirm that it was, in fact, one of the coldest days of the year for our session. It was probably about 16 degrees outside! We mostly stayed warm inside but towards the end, we all bundled up and ventured out into the brutal air. My clients wanted to bring their pups over to a special place they frequent that holds meaning for them. I always say the location is secondary to one’s pets–but I truly love when the location is symbolic and meaningful for not just the owners, but for the pets too. You can see what a great time everyone had walking around the trails in Wissahickon Valley Park, esp running on the bridge to help keep warm! Here are a few of my favorites from our photo session.

New Pet Photography: Penny, Goldendoodle; East Norriton, PA

Welcome to another awesome edition of Pet Imagery session favorites! Today I have Penny, the gorgeous Goldendoodle puppy that I had the pleasure of photographing recently. What an absolute sweetheart! She honestly seemed more like a seasoned pro than a 4 month old pup, the way she sat and posed for me! Of course, we did allow her lots of freedom to run around and her some energy out at a nearby baseball field! You can’t really tell how muddy Penny got because she’s sporting this fabulous tan coat! Haha! She also had the best time playing in the tiny amount of snow–even managed to get her whole face snowy! Penny really showed how comfortable and at ease she is outside. She’s still getting used to all the different rules of the house but Penny impressed me with her training skills!  As a matter of fact, everyone impressed me–even the fact that Penny’s parents didn’t tell anyone  they even got a dog! They wanted to use the photos as a way to introduce her to their world! I just love that!

So enough of me babbling away, here’s a few of my favorites from our session. Please share the link to spread the good Pet Imagery word! Don’t forget to check out some of my previous shoots! If you haven’t already!
