New Dog Photography: Oscar, Sophie and Bailey; Newtown, PA

Hello friends! Thanks for visiting Pet Imagery to check out my latest post! I’ve got an excellent trio of pups to showcase today! I met Oscar, Sophie and Bailey (Shih-tzu, Beagle and Coton de Tulear, respectively) earlier this month for a fabulous session in and around their beautiful Newtown home. Of course, it won’t be home for too much longer, as the family mentioned to me that they are soon moving to the West Coast! Nonetheless, Oscar, Sophie and Bailey were definitely comfortable as we hung around their space and kept cool in the shade. The pups enjoyed the warm breeze and their soft furs glowed in the sun!

The dogs’ owners came to me after their daughter had gifted them a Pet Imagery gift certificate. I love when people-especially family members, give the gift of pet photography! Everyone wins! The dogs loved all the attention, and I have to acknowledge how much Sophie stole the show. She has quite a remarkable story as her parents rescued her from a pharmaceutical lab. Sophie’s energy level is unlike a typical young Beagle, but once we took her outside she just lit up with glee! I loved how content she seemed just sitting in the sun. She was such a pleasure to be around, as was the entire crew! Here are a few of my favorites from our time together. Enjoy!

New Dog Photography: Meka, Black Labrador Mix Breed, Conshohocken, PA

Gotta love these dog days of summer! You know it’s only a matter of time before folks are begging for the cold temps! In any case, welcome to another edition of Pet Imagery session favorites! I’m thrilled to showcase this adorable black Lab mix named Meka. After returning from their honeymoon in Hawaii, Meka’s parents rescued her a few years ago and have been spoiling her with the good life ever since! While her Hawaiian-inspired name means “eyes”, it’s Meka’s ears that really show off her spunky, fabulous self. Her ears could probably stop traffic; they are so striking! The couple are expecting a baby in the fall, so Meka is gearing up for her new role as big sister! I’m sure it will take some getting used to on her part!

Our session was sunny and laid-back. We mostly stuck around their suburban development and appreciated the shade of their backyard. It was certainly nice to get inside and cool off, where Meka relaxed in her favorite spots. Excellent Pet Imagery session with this crew!

New Dog Photography: Darby, Gracie and Cooper; Levittown, PA

Hello folks! Thanks for joining Pet Imagery for another session favorites post! I recently photographed an excellent trio of gorgeous pups along with their beautiful family. Their mom had gotten in contact with me after hearing the devastating news that one of her dogs, Darby (West Highland Terrier), has been battling a brain tumor. The family initially had no idea, as Darby was going through his days as his usual spunky self! It wasn’t until a scary seizure that the tumor was revealed and Darby (and his loved ones) were on course for a tough road ahead. Through numerous treatments and tests, Darby’s incredible strength and resilience has now surpassed even the vet’s prognosis. The support and love from his family have extended his health and fueled his perseverance. It’s incredibly inspiring, especially after our photo session together!

While Darby was on medication during our shoot, he still showed off his fabulously friendly self. I love how comfortable he was in his surroundings–posed for me several times like he was a natural!! His pals, Gracie(Scottish Terrier) and Cooper (Cavalier King Charles) also shared the spotlight among their beautiful backyard. The pups glowed in the sun and enjoyed the company of their family. We took a couple breaks in the shade and indoors every now and then but it was a perfect weather day! As usual, the pups were all tuckered out by the end! Everyone was ready for an afternoon nap!
