Hello there and Happy FRIDAY! Thank you for joining me for another Pet Imagery Session Favorites post! I have a very special gal to feature today. Izzie’s mom first contacted me in late August after finding out the devastating news that cancer had spread throughout Izzie’s body and become inoperable. It’s simply the worst news any parent wants to hear. We had scheduled a session pretty soon after but Mother Nature had pushed back our day due to rainy conditions. It became clear to us that we needed to give Izzie her special day, rain or shine. We ended up getting a little bit of both! We met at Tyler State Park, which was symbolic because Izzie’s mom had grown up the area. Sweet Izzie was so adorable as she explored the rocky terrain and the warmth of the Autumn air. I’d like to believe that she knew what was going on and really embraced the experience. I could truly feel the incredible bond between them as I captured these special moments.
It is not every day that I have the opportunity to photograph a beloved pup on their very last day. I feel a deep sense of gratitude that we were able to get together when we did and give Izzie a wonderful send off to the spiritual world. I know she will always be present with her family, friends and she certainly left her paw prints on my heart. Here are some highlights from our time together:
Thank you so much for taking the time to view the images! I’ll be featuring 9 year old Sydney, the gorgeous Australian Shepherd next!
